Located in the heart of Geneva business district, Lemania Law has been founded in 2010 by a group of tax and commercial lawyers dedicated to advising Swiss and International clients with all aspects of their personal and financial situation.

Oliver Chappaz has been practicing in the field of international tax and estate planning since 1998.
Prior to founding Lemania he worked in Geneva for UBS and Royal Bank of Canada as Trust Manager and in London for a tax boutique as a consultant to high net-worth individuals.
Oliver specializes in trusts and estates, Swiss and international private tax matters, tax controversies and the structuring of cross-border investments. He acts as trustee for select clients and sits on the board of three Swiss charitable foundations.
He holds a LL.M. in Tax from the University of Geneva, is a member of the Louisiana Bar, the Swiss lawyers self- regulatory body (SRO SAV), the International Fiscal Association and is a visiting teacher in Tax at the Swiss banking school ISFB.
Alexandre
Bardot
Partner
Alexandre Bardot is an Attorney-at-law, member of the Paris Bar and Geneva Bar (EU list). He holds a Ph. D degree (Dr. Iur.) in Tax Law from University of Geneva and Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.
He has gained extensive experience both in Luxembourg and Switzerland with a focus on services to private clients and families, starting his career with SocGen Group, before joining Deloitte, a Big 4 company as a Senior Manager in the Tax & Corporate Services department and UBS in 2005.
Alexandre joined Lemania Law in 2010.
He teaches tax law at the University of Geneva (LL.M. Tax), he is a member of the board of several associations and foundations of charitable and public interest, he is also a member of the International Fiscal Association (IFA), member of the Geneva Bar Association (ODAGE), member of the Swiss Lawyers Federation (SFA) and member of the French Swiss Chamber of commerce and industry (CFSCI).

Marc-Ariel Zacharia graduated from the University of Fribourg School of Law in 2002 and then was admitted to the Geneva Bar. In 2009, he obtained his Master in real estate from the Institute of Real Estate Studies of Geneva (IEI) (Institut d’Etudes Immobilières de Genève). Since 2018, he is a Certified Specialist SBA (Swiss Bar Association) Construction and Real Estate Law.
After having worked for several law firms in Geneva in the areas of tax and real estate law, he joined LEMANIA LAW AVOCATS as Partner in January 2012.
Regularly advising real estate actors, individuals or SMEs, as well as private clients, he focuses his practice on construction law, property law, planning and zoning law, acquisition of real estate, as well as real estate taxation and litigation.
Marc-Ariel Zacharia is a member of the Geneva Bar Association, the Federal Swiss Bar Association, Swiss Lawyers Society and the Geneva Real Estate Association (Chambre genevoise immobilière).
He also actively participates in various Geneva associations, particularly as President of «Le Lien d’Israël» and of Artillerie society. Moreover, he had been for ten years editor-in-chief of the Bulletin of the Geneva Military Society.
French and Russian native speaker, he is fluent in English and has a good command in German.

Esquivel

Constance Esquivel is a Swiss lawyer member of the Geneva Bar, specialized in domestic and cross border litigation. She regularly assists and represents clients before the Swiss Courts in civil as well as criminal proceedings.
Constance Esquivel also provides start-ups with her advices in financing, private equity and shareholders’ rights and obligations. She has been advising many companies, from their initial incorporation to the establishment of business operations and their sale.
Constance Esquivel holds a bachelor in law from the University of Geneva and a masters degree from the University of Zurich.
She was admitted to the Swiss bar in December 2016.
Constance Esquivel also teaches law at the Ecole Supérieure de Droit et d’Administration, she held various conferences in the field of law and her work has been published in the Pan European Organisation of Personal Injury Lawyers’ newsletter.

Raphaël Zouzout is a lawyer, member of the Geneva Bar Association and the Swiss Federal Bar Association (FSA).
Raphaël holds a Bachelor and a Master’s degree in Law from the University of Geneva. During the completion of his Master’s degree, Raphaël studied during one year at the Faculty of Law of the University of Zurich.
In 2014, Raphaël obtains a Certificate of advanced studies in legal professions of the University of Geneva before joining a renowned law firm as a trainee lawyer. He was admitted to the Geneva bar as a lawyer in 2018 with the honorific distinction of “1er brevet” (best lawyer of his promotion).
Raphaël also has several years of experience as a consultant working for one of the “Big 4”, E&Y. There he was able to provide advice in various areas of Swiss and international tax law, in particular with regard to optimization strategies, negotiations with the authorities and national and international litigation.
Before joining Lemania Law firm as a partner, Raphaël practiced for several years in a Geneva law firm.
He regularly gives legal advice to Swiss and international companies, SMEs, as well as private clients. He focuses his practice on contracts and corporate law, intellectual property law, labour law, debt collection and bankruptcy law as well as criminal law. He regularly accompanies and assists his clients before the Swiss courts for all types of litigations.
In parallel to his work as a lawyer, Raphaël holds a position of law clerk at the Geneva Labour Court.

Before joining Lemania Law, Damien Ledermann worked in the corporate tax department of a large Big Four company, advising global firms on tax optimisation strategies, negotiation of rulings with the Swiss tax authorities, and litigation matters. He has also worked for a young healthcare company as a legal and business analyst, contributing to legal activities in relation to business development and commercial partnerships, and becoming very familiar with the needs and challenges of the start-up community.
At Lemania Law, he regularly assists both corporate and private clients with all aspects Swiss Law, with a focus on civil and commercial law.
Damien Ledermann holds a Bachelor and a Master’s degree in Law from the University of Fribourg as well as a Bachelor in Business Administration from the Royal Holloway, University of London. Touboul

Anthony Touboul is a financial and tax expert. He holds a master’s degree in business law and taxation from the University Jean Moulin Lyon III as well as a LL.M in tax law from the University of Geneva. Anthony started his professional career in 2008 with EY in Geneva. He was advising executives and expatriates from major international companies on the issues of personal taxation, immigration, social security and pension fund in relation to their mobility. In 2012, he joined the law firm of Schellenberg Wittmer as a Senior tax associate where he had the opportunity to advise a clientele of both individuals and businesses on their tax or wealth planning issues. Anthony then joined Julius Baer private bank in 2017 as Director of Wealth Planning where he advised clients on tax, financial and estate planning matters.

Philippe Mantel is an attorney-at-law, member of the Geneva bar Association (ODAGE), the International Fiscal Association (IFA) and the association of Business Lawyers (AIBL).
Philippe gained his experience working for about 10 years in the corporate tax department of the big fours in Geneva, Lausanne and Zurich. As from 2015, he was an associate and since 2019 a partner of Meyerlustenberger Lachenal (MLL) in Geneva, assisting private individuals and corporate clients in all tax matters.
Philippe was also an assessor-judge at the Geneva administrative Court for tax matters until 2018.
Philippe holds a master’s degree from the University of Fribourg, a Master of International Taxation from the University of Lausanne (LLM), a diploma of the Executive Transfer Pricing Program from university of Lausanne, a certificate of advanced study of taxation of SME’s of the University of Neuchâtel.
He is the author of publications in the tax field.
